Ian Holloway said that Swindon Town showed far too much good to be disappointed after their 3-3 draw against Port Vale.
It was a thrilling encounter between the sides that see-sawed both ways with goals flying in.
Will Wright gave Town the lead from the spot but Vale had the lead before long with goals from Jaheim Headley and Lorent Tolaj.
Danny Butterworth's close-range finish before the break and a Joel Cotterill screamer after it had turned the game back in Town's favour but Tolaj nicked Vale a draw late on.
Holloway was delighted with how Swindon took the game to Vale and made them know how good Town are now.
He said: "Once again I would have paid to watch us, I am glad that I don't have to but I am sure my wife would let me now.
"It was a fantastic advert for this division and we were stride for stride up against a good team and that is what I asked my lads to do.
"It is a little bit disappointing in the end that we went in front, fell behind, and then got ahead again but let a silly goal in right at the end.
"That is bitterly disappointing but there were far too many positives for me to end on a bad note.
"It is nice to see us play like we did in the second half, I felt that we got a real grip on the game, passed the ball, and scored a wonderful goal - in my whole career I don't think I have seen a strike as clean as that.
"There are things to work on, which is good, as I told the chairman just now that if everything goes right then you don't have anything to work on, but I was really proud of the performance and there were so many good ones from the team."
Holloway added that the way his team played made Port Vale realise how good they were now.
He said: "I think that they know that we are a good team and that is nice coming from the Port Vale staff.
"They know the difference in what we look like now and they congratulated us on that at the end of the game.
"I think that you will find that they are happy with a point and that is a credit to everything that we have done and how we are going about things.
"Man for man I can't ask for much more, there are some little bits that we can look at and talk about how to improve.
"But if we do that again then I think that we might get another win.
"I am sure that their manager [Darren Moore] feels quite proud of what his boys did but in the second half we were very, very good.
"We are gradually getting to where I want us to be, they had to take their sitter off to try and get back in the game and that is what told me we were on top."
